COMMONS DINING

DREW UNIVERSITY

Construction manager for the extensive interior overhaul of the dining hall, including the kitchen, seating area and ground floor hallway. This fast track project was completed throughout the summer months allowing crews to work double shifts to upgrade the interior to a modern look. Upgrades included all new kitchen equipment, including a Mongolian grill, pizza and pasta bar, in-house bakery and dessert bar, and a gluten and allergen-free work station, to name a few. The project also included a new sprinkler system, new electrical distribution, and all new HVAC including roof top units. Keeping with the green campus that Drew is, a food compactor disposal system was installed that turns food remains into grey-water. In addition to the kitchen upgrades, a brightened look and layout was done in the seating area, including study nooks, large booths, high-tops, and low-tops throughout. The focal point of the seating area included a gas fireplace with lounge seating.
